Peoria County Property Tax Website

Apr 26, 2017

Peoria County Treasurer Nicole Demetreas is pleased to announce the launch of a new tax information website for Peoria County property owners. The new website will provide extensive information on parcels in Peoria County. The website is http://propertytax.peoriacounty.org/ and will also be accessible on Peoria County's main website www.peoriacounty.org by clicking the "Property Tax" icon in the upper right corner.

One key feature to the website will be the ability to print the current year tax bill from home. Treasurer Demetreas states, “If a taxpayer misplaces their bill or doesn’t receive a bill for any reason, they can go online and print one at their convenience. Property owners no longer have to wait for office hours. Peoria County property owners have asked for this capability and now we are able to provide it. We are very excited about the website capabilities and encourage everyone to use this site.”

Enhanced features within the website include assessment information, redemption estimates and detailed payment information. Citizens will also be able to tell at a glance where their tax dollars are distributed. A graph displays the taxing bodies listed on the tax bill and what portion of the bill is going towards that district.

For several months the offices of the Treasurer, County Clerk, Supervisor of Assessments and the Information Technology department collaborated to bring a user friendly website to the public. “We think the citizens of Peoria County will be pleased with the new functionality of the website and will benefit from the online content” says Treasurer Demetreas.

The website launch coincided with the mailing of tax bills on April 25. For more information, please call the Peoria County Treasurer's Office at 309-672-6065.
